In the enchanting Östergötland lies the quiet village of Björkfors, also known as the Pearl of Kinda. Here you will find our beautiful, rustic hostel, which dates back to 1850 and originally served as a school. Now it is the ideal base for numerous outdoor activities.

Explore the vast lakes, such as the large Åsunden and idyllic Björken, on adventurous canoe and kayak trips. Or try your luck at fishing, mountain biking and hiking through picturesque nature. In winter, the area turns into a paradise for ice skating, cross-country skiing and ice fishing.

Our story

We are Ronald and Reina, and this year we realized our dream by taking over Björkfors Hostel Kayak and Canoe. Over the next few years we are going to modernize this historic hostel, dating back to 1850, into a comfortable hostel and B&B, while maintaining its authentic character. We are open all year round, including Christmas and New Year's Eve, and are ready to offer you a new and inspiring experience.

Also on our property is a charming stuga called Lugnet (the peace), which can accommodate 4 to 5 people. It too will undergo an upgrade to provide our guests with a comfortable stay all year round. In addition, we have the Allhûs, formerly the village house, which is suitable for groups, meetings, weddings and other gatherings.

Our accommodation

In the main house, we offer 10 sleeping quarters. Guests can use a fully equipped kitchen to cook their own meals, while our private kitchen prepares delicious dishes to be served by arrangement.

We also offer BBQ facilities, a cozy wood stove on the second floor and clean and fresh plumbing for a comfortable stay.
